Featuring members of Henry’s Anger, Nazxul and Japunga, Sydney outfit Brace formed in 2002 and immediately released their acclaimed debut EP, Before You Begin. Heavy touring with Deftones, Sparta, Cog, Shihad, Sunk Loto and Superheist followed, alongside their own headline dates and performances at festivals such as Metal For The Brain.
When combined with triple j airplay, Brace quickly secured a dedicated national fan base. Veering more into rock territory than the heavier sounds of the members’ previous outfits, Brace combined the riffing of Deftones and Quicksand with the dramatic melodies of Faith No More to create a sound that was their own.
Now, after disbanding in 2005, Brace make their long-awaited return to the stage at Necrosonic Festival, their first live appearance in 20 years! The band will also be releasing new material to accompany their performance, having gone back into the studio to complete the tracks they started recording before splitting.
